With its 1817 kilometers, Lodz Horse Trail will be the longest horseback tourism route in Europe. The route has been divided into two loops:
external - 35 sections of the total length of 1161 kilometers,
internal - 10 sections of the total length of 325 kilometers,
main and access connecting routes of the total length of 331 kilometers.
The uniqueness of Lodz Horse Trail consists in its exceptional length as well as the high standard of the infrastructure. Using and developing the existing routes, the horse route is a product addressed also to those preferring activities other than horse riding, e.g. cycling tourism, hiking or waterway tourism. The variety of forms of tourism associated with the route is undoubtedly one of the important assets of the route. Horseback tourism, in its broad sense, is only one of the available options directed at:
amateur riders interested in individual or group/family excursions,
tourists travelling on carts (on western-type carts, britzkas, in a sleigh),
professional riders searching for interesting areas for exploration,
tourists participating in enactments of historical scenes or performances based on the cultural heritage,
the disabled, undergoing hippotherapy.
Lodz Horse Trail is a modern product catering for the needs of 21st century visitors. Everyone who is looking for unconventional, unique tourist offer, will find here attractions meeting their expectations.
While travelling along Lodz Horse Trail, you will encounter resting places, specially prepared complexes of buildings and shelters which will ensure your comfortable rest and relax. These will be the main elements of the new infrastructure of the route and will be located at the different sections of the route.
Resting places will consist of shelters, wooden houses, hitching bars, watering places and corrals. Each of the resting places will be surrounded by a wooden fence and its area will also include a paddock for horses. The places will be equipped with facilities for the disabled to make sure they can take a full advantage of the infrastructure.
The most important investment of Lodz Horse Trail will be the complex at Wycieczkowa Street number 86 in Lodz. Apart from functioning as a resting place, the buildings located on a plot with the area of 3.76 ha will, above all, host the Route Management Center.
