Jahorina ski track is world famous, if you are lucky (and old) enough you saw it on TV as the Winter Olimpics were here in 1984. Due to the long war in the Balkan penninsula the lifts are still from 1984, but the track itself still really nice.
30km long, between 1100 and 1890meter. 8 lifts available.

Borovec, Bulgaria
Borovec lies only 70km from Sofia. This is the most advanced and improved bulgarian ski tracks of all with many resturants, hotels, services.
The track lenght is 45km, and runs between 2040-2560meter where snow is a must and available most of the time. There are 10lifts including one with cabin.

Hargitha, Transylvania
It is only 36km from Odorheiu Secuiesc, at the center of the Karphatians in Transylvania. The peak is 1800meter high, which offers a long and snowy season. The surrounding area is full of cultural richness, Targu Mures, Brasov also nearby.
The ski track only 4.8km long, runs on 1500-1760 meters, have snow from mid Dec till mid Apr.
A week long skipass is only 51EUR, 43GBP. There are many smaller/bigger hotels, pansions around.
Kopaonik, Serbia
It is also an old track back from the Yugoslavia area, but renewed recently.Only around 600km from Budapest next to the Belgrad-Nis highway.
Track is 44km long, runs 1650-2017meter above sea level. 22lifts installed.

Bukovel, Ukraine
Bukovel is the most improved ski track in Ukraine, offers same level of experience as any other in Europe. The New York Times compared it to Vail and Whistler in Canada. The improvements made in the last few years, before Bukovel ski resort was only for locals.
Bukovel's base elevation is nearly 900 m above sea level, and the highest ski lift rises to 1370 m, making Bukovel the second highest ski resort in Ukraine after Dragobrat. All categories of difficulty are available for great snowskiing and snowboarding. There is a very long gradual slope that is perfect for beginners, a couple short tows for children and "super-beginners," all levels of intermediate runs, and several black diamonds. Night skiing is available from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m, on two slopes that are upper intermediate.
