Slovakia is lying in the real geographical heart of europe, between Poland and Hungary. A Little Big Country as the PR campaign says. There are no big cities, or many highways.
But sometimes that's the best of it. You can go hiking to the Tatra mountain, skiing in the winter since there are almost as good ski resorts as in other western european countries. The mountains are beautiful in every season, the food are excellent, the cities are small but most of them well maintained. Like Kosice which has a really nice downtown and Bratislava the capital city, is also worth a daylong visit.

Bratislava
The Capital of the Slovak Republic BRATISLAVA, also referred to as the Beauty on the Danube can not only boast interesting history but it also is the centre of the most dynamically developing region of central Europe at present.
